Strain-tuning Bloch- and Néel-type magnetic skyrmions: A phase-field simulation

Strain manipulation of the magnetic domains, such as stripe domains and skyrmions, has attracted considerable attention because its potential applications for logic memory devices. Here, utilizing phase-field modeling, we demonstrate deterministic modulation orientation configuration skyrmions by using a uniaxial strain. The reorientation can be caused suitable strain, direction reorientated is determined applied strain type domain walls, including Bloch- Néel- types. Furthermore, constructing phase diagram, discovered that when tensile increases, ferromagnetic islands undergo continuous transition from skyrmion to multi-domains or single domain. competition between anisotropy energy stray field leads formation patterns under Our research provides theoretical foundation development strain-controlled designs.
